Galerie Savannah Blue was established in 1987, on South McDill Avenue, in Tampa's Palma Ceia district. The gallery effectively opened the door to Haitian and Caribbean Art in the greater Tampa Bay area. Now we are a virtual gallery in historic Chester County, PA.
For many years, as Gallery Director for A.H.Riise, and Mapes Monde in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, I traveled the Caribbean to purchase art for our gallery, shows and exhibitions. Haiti's pure and joyful art was the primary focus.
And so, my journey began. A journey into the magical realm of Haitian arts and Haitian artists.
